Bitpass is an identity manager that uses biometrics and decentralizationto protect privacy and prevent impersonation. It can also manage passwords, bank cards, and notes.

Main Goal
The main objective to build this application for the US markets was to safeguard the passwords users save on their laptops or mobiles using different browsers. With this bitpass identity manager app, there was no master password to be created anywhere, which was the single point of failure in other used cases. This was build keeping that in mind, as each face and voice of a human is unique, so will be their digital identity. Thats how it differentiated from the other similar password managers in the market.
Process
To ensure that data privacy is maintained, Blockchain was used for holding the data and keeping it encrypted on the blockchains.
- Hedera hashgraphs was used in the backend for transparency and trust in the development.
- To get optimum speed for each user journey from biometrics verification to login, it had to be done in couple of seconds, blockchain was found to be most efficient solution.
Outcome
The launch was very successful in the US markets and got adopted by users in quick time.
