Biography

My name is Sajid Moinuddin — I’m a Creative Director with over 20 years of experience across print, branding, and digital design, currently expanding my expertise in UI/UX to keep pace with the evolving digital world.

Born and raised in Mumbai, I grew up immersed in the world of design thanks to my father, MG Moinuddin, a legendary publication designer who shaped some of India’s most iconic magazines and newspapers like India Today, Times of India, Sunday Times. Watching him work was my first design education — one rooted in passion, precision, and storytelling. We later collaborated to launch HT Café, a tabloid supplement of Hindustan Times, in 2006 — a project that remains close to my heart.

Over the years, I’ve worked with agencies and creative teams to build brand identities, publications, packaging, and user-centric digital products. I believe great design solves real problems, connects deeply, and evolves constantly — just like we do.

I’m always open to opportunities where thoughtful design, leadership, and creativity come together to make a real difference.

My Way

I have a career path that is quite unique and varied, and following in my father’s footsteps was a huge task and responsibility. I have applied my skills in the Branding, Publishing, Space branding and UI/UX design, with all the learnings I have had over a period of time.

STOCKS&KARMA

Stocks & Karma is a product for people who want to invest in stock market but either don’t have the knowledge or the confidence to do in the real market. S&K allows you to trade in stocks like in real market conditions through simulation without the real currency, and you can follow tips given by advisors and you can create your own tip or challenge a tip given by anyone else. The more accurate you are in predicting the correct share price, your reliablity score goes up which helps you attract more followers to your profile. This way you can gain your confidence and you take the jump to trade in the actual stock market.

BITPASS-IDENTITY MANAGER

Bitpass is an identity manager that uses biometrics and decentralization to protect privacy and  prevent impersonation. It can also manage passwords, bank cards, and notes.

INDIA VOTES

A blockchain based mobile app for voting in India to INCREASE trust and transparency in the Election process. This was product designed and prototyped for my Capstone project for a UI/UX Design course with IIT-HYD in 2024-25.

BRAND IDENTITY/APP DESIGN/PACKAGING

BluPack

BluPack is an online pharmacy that custom-packs medicines into exact doses for each prescribed time. Using robotics, it removes pills from retail packaging without human touch, ensuring safety and accuracy. Patients buy only what they need, reducing waste and costs. BluPack also helps families and caregivers manage medications effortlessly, preventing missed or incorrect doses.

SPACE BRANDING

PURETECH & QUANTENT-DIGITAL AND CONTENT AGENCY

Puretech and Content are  a well known social media agencies in Mumbai. They moved into their new 8000 sq ft office at the Paragon Plaza, Phoenix Mills. They wanted to brand their office with their values and ethos so that their 100+ employees could sub-consciously understand the intrinsic values of the companies and also make it a fun place to work. HB Design turned the whole space round in two months time with some innovative and cost effective space branding and also delivered what the client wanted and more. In the end the employees were thrilled to move into their new work place and so were their clients.
